In ovoe, to found this factory 'he promoters propose the formation of a Joint Srock Company, and inv.te the farmers and others within a convenient dist;t"ce cf the townshii) to take up sbu. s. Oue or two preliminary meeti , :-.s of the promoters have already be. a held, aod when all the facts and statistics on the subject have been collected, it. is intended to lay them before a gen eral public meeting, to be held in the Town Hall about the first of next month, when it is hoped that all persons at all interested in the rnTie. will endeavor to be present. The proposed capital of the company is £4,000 in 2,000 shares of £2 each, of which only one half sha-M be called up in the following manner, viz., 5s per share on application, aud 5s on allotment ; the remaining in calls of not more than 5s each, at intervals of not more than two months It is further proposed, if-Jbund expedient, to allow shareholders to pay auy calls after the first two, in milk itself. Thus it will De seen that to be a shareholder will be within ihe means of mo.t persons residing in the district, while the terms of payment are rendered as easy as is practicable, as light in fact as would be consistent with financial safety. The only thint? necessary beyond the required number of shareholders is the guarantee of a good supply of milk, which is a matter to be settled by the farmers themselves by taking up fche proiect right heat tily, and becoming shareholders in the : CT.rnpany,
