A box containing explosives has been found outside Salisbury Cathedral, and an intended outrage on that edifice averted. The discovery caused some alarm in the city. New Yoek, April 18. A meeting of Irish Delegates which has been held at Philadelphia has been decided to adhere to the intention of holding a convention in that city on the 25th inst. Mr Parnell, wbo was present, addressed the convention and ur^ed that it be postponed until autumn. The leadins; delegates at the meeting expressed themselves as opposed to the use of dynamite. They : show that the last season's yield was 5,820,000 bushels, producing an average of 8.65 to the acre, as against 6,300,000 bushels, and an average of 9.46 last year.
