Three Portugese men of-war have been ordered to t Paul De Loande, the capital of the Portuguese colony of Ongola, on tbe West African Coast. Intelligence of a disquieting nature has been received from the West African Coast, and it is expected that a conflict will ensue between Stanley's exploring expedition and a French party under De Brazzas, in tbe Congo country. James Brady, the convicted Phoenix Park murderer, is to be hanged on the 14th May next. Madagascar envoys assert thafc a force of 200,000 Malagasies will resist the French invasion. America recognises Queen Ranavolo as Sovereign of Madagascar.
