Shaw addressed a crowded meeting here on Saturday evening ; Mr Bremnan in the chair. A unamimous vote of confidence in Mr Shaw was passed. Auckland, This Day. John Moore, a printer, is reported missing from the cutter Lancashire Lass at Whangamate. He is believed to be drowned. Two cases of alleged child abduction are reported, but the police declined to interfere. The persons interested intend to initiate private prosecutions, aud have retained Mr E. Hesketh.
