At lasf, the proposition to raise a loan of £0000, to be expended in public works in the Borough of Feilditig. has assumed a tangible form. As will bo seen in another column, the Mayor has advertised the particulars of the proposed works, and the amount of the rate to be struck for the payment of interest. The poll of the ratepayers will take place on the 2nd of June, but before that date, and not later than the 16th of May, a public meeting of the burgesses will be held to consider the said proposal, when it is expected to be discussed, and with very slight alterations, accepted.
