MASONIC.

The jewels and a portion of the regalia for the new Lodge of Freemasons under the Scotch Constitu «jon have arrived in Paltnerston. The jewels are sixteen in number and are formed of solid sterlingsilver, most of them being also enriched with precious stones, and all being elaborately chased. The collars and aprons are made of crimson velvet, silk lined, and beautifully finished, and reflect the greatest credit on the .make, Mr Henry JNeill, o; Dunedin. We may mention that now nearly all the necessary formalities in connection with the opening of the Lodge have been completed, and ie is probable the opening ceremony will take place at an early date. — Manawatu Times.
