STRANDING OF A SCHOONER AT NAPTETL
[PEB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Napieb. This Day. The 3-masted schooner. Johann Adolpli which completed taking in cargo of wool, tallow and preserved meats on behalf of the N. Z. Shipping Company, was being towed out into the roadstead preparatory to sailing for London. She took ground on a boulder bank inside the eastern pier j head and stranded. The schooner surged about a good deal, and lines were run out to steady her. The s.s. Sir Donald went to her assistance, and towed her into the roadstead. It is thought probable that she will have to go either to Wellington or Lyttelton ror overhaul.
