"irTRITfEN Tenders will be re- » t ceived at tbis office up to noon on Thursday, 17th April, 18S_, for the Supply and Delivery of 100,000 Sleepers, or for any smaller number not less than 5,000, to be delivered to extent as follows, at the different places mentioned below : — Waikari,_o.ooo:('hristcliurch,lo,ooo; Timaru, 10.000; Dunedin, 15,000, Kelso, 10,000; Invercargill, 10,000 ; and alongside railway line, Hiverton to Orepuki, 25.000. They are to be addressed to tbe Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Dunedin, and marked " Tender lor Sleepers, Middle Island Railways," on outside of en velope. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour. Specifications may be s^en at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington.
