GREAT FIRE AT KUMARA.
(PEE UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Kumaba, This Day. Ther. was a great fire here last night. It broke out at 10.30 o'clock in Mrs Cooper's fruit shop, occupied by Mrs Robert Brown, and spread from Adamson's bakers shop to Wood's bakery. All were completly destroyed. Adamson's bakery, Mrs Brown's fruit shop, Harrison's Hibernian Hotel, Nicholson's (commission agent), Spiers's boohseller's shop, .Masonic Hotel, and Wood's baker's shop were all gutted. Wood's bakery at the back is standing-, but the shop was pulled down to prevent the fire extending to the Shamrock Hotel. Excepting Mrs Brown's, most of the gooda whre removed, but were much damaged.
