« [fee UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. j Wellington, This Day In consequence of the heavy gale the Governor did not start for Auckland this morning. He will probably leave at 11 o'clock to-night. Auckland. This Day. It is stated that the Hawea brought 500 casks of tallow for shipment by the British King, but had to take them back to Wellington, as she could not discharge on Sunday. Mr W. E. Barton, the cricketer, was presented with a bat as the highest aggregate scorer during the trip of the Auckland representatives south.
