CORRESPONDENCE.
A PUBLIC NUISANCE. TO TIIE EDITOR OF THE FEILDING STAB. Sir, — I wish, through your columns, to draw attention toa public nuisance ou the Awahuri road. You have already alluded to it in yonr columns. The nuisance I refer to is a dead horse that has only been buried about 2ft under the ground, and a part of the body 'of the horse is distinctly discernable. ;. The horse (it is alleged) was killed by its owner. On Saturday last a horse .twas riding to Awahuri refused to pass this nuisance. I endeavored to rush the animal past by spurring him, when he suddenly " propped, " %nd I was thrown to the ground. Luckily I escaped l any injuries. Ttie police should, I think, thoroughly investigate the matter", and bring the owner of the dead horse to justice, and, having the body removed to some more secluded .place,: would thus prevent any serious accidents which ara likely to arise from this public nuisance. — I am, &c, Eqttestbiak, Feilding, March 12, 1883. : |: "" ■ [The police have this matter ih hand. — Ed.
