Kelly, a lana owner, residing in Fitzroy, sued the Board of Land and Works for £6000 damages, for injuries sustained by iiim in the Hawthorn collision. The jury returned a three-fourths verdict for £3750. O. H. Williams sued the same defendants for £100 damages for injuries recei.ved on 1 lie same occasion. The jury awarded him £250.
