Bobough Bye-law, No. 111, reads : "No 'owner or driver of any vehicle, whether public or private, shall drive or permit to be driven, or stand in or upon any street or public place within the Borough, between sunset or sunrise, unless such vehicle shall hare, whilst being driven- or standing as aforesaid, one or more proper lamps alight (one on either side thereof), and plainly visible to anyone approaching such vehicle." We now beg to call the attention of the authbrities to the cont nued violation of this law, and as the long winter nights are fast approaching, proper' notice should be given to all persons who are the possessors of vehicles to provide themselves with the necessary lamps, r K it were made public that drivers or owners of vehicles would be proceeded against in all cases where they failed. to observe this law, and a few summary examples made at- once, it would be a great benefit, and would go a long way to prevent the possibility of any accidents from collision, &c.
