[by electric telegraph. —copybight.] reuter's telegrams. London, February 22. The number of bales offered at to-day's wool auction was 10,700, a firm and active demand being ag;iin experienced. Lambs are M to Id higher than last sale prices. The cargo of frozen meet ex Jkuropa was in splendid condition, and was well frozen. A first portion of the mutton was sold at 7d to 7.Yd per lb. Two arrests have been made of ■ <?rsons who are charged with complicity in the murder of a police constable at Loughrea in 1381. In the House of Commons last night the debate on the Eeply to the Speech from the Throne was continued. n the conrse of a speech Mr Forster declared that Mr Parnell was responsible for the outrages in Ireland, and that his friends had unmasked his true character. Mr Parnell will speak in reply to the charges when the House meets to-morrow. During the debate Sir Stafford North cote, leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons, announced that he would shortly challenge the Government policy. Sir Arthur Gordon has been offered and accepted the Governorship of Ceylon.
