MANCHESTER HIGHWAY BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the above was held in the Board's office, Miftdieiter-street, on Saturday afternoon. Present — Wardens Macarthur, (chairman), Loudon, Bartholomew and Bailey. The minutes of fhe previous meeting were read and confirmed. A fetter was read from Mr Williamson stating that the settlers ia the Kiwitea Block were willing to contribute £25 towards improving the road between Mr Wilson's and Mr Shannon's properties, if the Board would contribute a like amount Resolved, bn the motion of Warden Bailey^ seconded by Warden Bartholomew, That the Board meetoa the first Saturday- in every month at 10 a.m. Resolved,. That the Engineer make an estimate of the cost of "stumping and cleaving Wilson's line, and report at next meeting. A letter was read from Mr Anderson, r« Hendersou's line, asking the Board to do a portion of the work. Aorangi Road — Berhendt, £35; J. Aitken, £26 ss; A. Diamond, £45; T. Smith, £28; »■ Younger, £22 19s 6d. The tender of D, Tounger was accepted. Accounts amounting to £93 8s fid were passed for pnyment. Theßeacd then adjourned.
