m Oub contemporary the Manawatu Times thinks that although "possibly Mr Johnston's duties as Minister are sufficiently arduous to keep him in Wellington just now, it should not be forgotten that his office as Minister ia subsidiary to that of a representative." Just so, but it must be remembered also that at this present juncture Ministers have really little or nothing to do, and, in fact, time must hang somewhat heavily on their hands. Mr Johnston might easily devote a few hours of his leisure time to his constituents, and yet not disturb his natural equanimity of temperament. We hope he will try.
