In qpeaking <to the resolution, Cr jLoudon considered the bridges were the j)ropecty of the Borough, and that the JBorough would be legally liable in the teyent off any accident. Cr Higgin would not oppose the resolution # it was restricted to the 'bridges <on the Kinibolton road. The .resolution wn« put and carried. iProposed 'by .the Mayor, and seconded "by Cr Loudon, That the Public Works •Committee put the bridge on the east .•side o«f the railway liae, opposite Pope's, in proper repair. — Carried. Cr Higgin objected to the money being •spent on bridges >only for use as means -of communication with private places of business.
