HALCOMBE AND SHERWILL'S STOCK REPORT. The attendance at our slock sale at the Warick-strert Yards on Wednesday was fairly good, and <Ji« bidding brisk. The following prices were realized : — Beef (smalij, £6 10s ; thrce -year-old steers, £*5 2s 4Sd; two-year-old heifers, I £2 17s 6d to £3 ; cows, £3 5 s to £4 10s ; milch cows, £4 10s -, yearlings, £1 17s 6d to £2 5s ; calves, £1 ss; fat sheep, 9s sd; ewes, 6s 9d to 8s 7d ; lambs, ss ; hacks, £2 10s to £7. 465 head -cattle and 1160 sheep were entered, which, witk a few exceptions, were all quitted. A boiler and engine brought £45. eectbe's telegambs. Melbourne, January 11. At their wool sale to-day Messrs Goldsbrough & Co^ limited, offered 3,300 bales Two thousand three hundred and seventyfive bales were sold at satisfactory prices. Greasy realised up to 13£d, and good scoured to 22d. Wheat is steady afc 4s 9d to 4s lid for shipping ; malting barley is scarce, and firm at 4s 3d; New Zealand oats are ' weak and irregular, milling sorts being ' worth 3s lOd to 4s Id. i
