THE DOG NUISANCE.
TO THE EDiTOE OF THE FEILDIKO STAB. | Sir, — The nuisance complained of by j your correspondent, viz., of dogs lurking I at every corner, and barking at and biting horses, &c, is not the only one that some of us suffer from those animals, ac many of them set up such a howling and yelping all night that it is next to impossible to get any sleep. I suppose people are afraid to speak lest they should offend -c any of their representatives At the - Borough table, as I am sorry to learn. that one or two of these gentlemen are not altogether innocent of keeping canine quadrupeds which keep up a continual nocturnal yell, to the great annoyance o£ their iuoffensive neighbors. But of course these dogs are registered, while it is weR known that there are scores of others which are not, and never will be so long as it is to nobody's interest to look after the tax. I may remark, in explanation, that while registration gives one a license to keep a dog, it does not entitle him to be the cause thereby of any such. nuii sance as complained oL — I am, &c, BUBGESS.
