BOROUGH COUNCIL ELECTION.

-» ■ - We vrould remind our readers that nominations of candidates to fill the vacancy in the Borough Council, caused by the election of F. Y. Lbthb&xjme, Esq.

as Mayor, must be lodged with the Town Clerk on or before Thursday, the 11th instant. As yet no stir has been made in the matter, neither have we heard the names of probable candidates. We hope the ratepayers will arouse themselves before the day of nomination from their present state of apathy, as matters of considerable moment, besides the present Municipal requirements of the town, will shortly engage the attention of the Borough Council. We hope to see a i warm contest.
