YE OLDE ENGLISHE FAYRE.
As will be seen by adrertisement, the above highly interesting, instructive, and amusing entertainment will open in the Town Hal! on Wednesday next, and will continue for 6 days. The "Shovre" as recently exhibited in Wanganui was in every respect a grand success, and was the allabsorbing topic during the season of its continuance, being pronounced by everyone as being one of the best entertainments that Wanganui has ever seen. During j the time it was opened the sum of £700 was taken at the doors, which is a sufficient evidence of its great popularity. The preparations for the show commenced ! this morning, and several carpenters, scenery painters, and others will be actively engaged till the time of its opening. As the proceeds of this very novel entertainment are to be devoted to the funds of a local object, we feel confident that it will be largely patronised, and from our knowledge of some of the managing staff, actors, &c, we can promise all who purpose visiting the exhibition that a very rich treat is in store for them.
