The latest p-irticulars to hand regarding the disaster at Bradford woollen iufll show that thirty six deaths were caused by the fall of the chimney, and full fifty operatives have received injuries of a serious character. The Bank of Australasia has issued new shares to the amount of £400,000. Severe distress is reported from Doneeal, owing to the failing of the potato crop, and several families are in a very destitute condition. Berlin, December 31. The floods in the Ehine Valley are rapidly extending, and much destruction of property is resulting. Twenty persons have been drowned. The waters have reaeln-d Cassel and Worms, and both places are uow partially submerged. January 1. Floods in the valley of the Rhine have risen rapidly. Fire villages have been completely destroyed, and thousands of peasantry are completely destitute. The German press, commenting upon the effect that the death of M. G-ainbetta will have upon Europead politics generally, express an opinion that the event m!iy be considered as a guarantee that the policy of France will tend towards the preservation of pence. Paris, January 1. M. Leon Gambetta died this morning, aged d4i.
