KIWITEA HIGHWAY BOARD.
A meeting of the above was held at Cheltenham on Monday last. Present — Williamson {in the chair), ißryee, and Mt&enzie, The minutes of the previous meeting Were real and confirmed. A4etterwas read from the Manchester Highway Board, offering the use of their •office and safe -until a convenient .place of meeting was appointed. The 'balance sheet furnished "by the Dlanawatu Highway Board was read and •discussed. 'Resolved, on fhe motion of Warden 3Bryce, seconded by the Chairman, that (the Manawatu Highway Board be requested to furnish further particulars in Vespectto the balance sheet. The one desired by this Board should date from the time that public money was first raised «r expended bj the Manchester Board. Baaolred, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Warden McKenzie, <h*t ft rote of thanks be tendered to the : Hanohester Highway Board for their •offer to use their office, &c, and that this Board accept the same, and the Clerk •forward a copy of this resolution to the Chairman of the said Board. lletolved, on the motion of Warden Bryce, seconded by Warden McKenzie, that the Chairman and the mover wait on the Matrawatu Board at their next meeting, if a sufficient balance sheet is not furnished as requested, for the purpone of setting an explanation of receipt and expenditure not shown in the balance «heet at present before the meeting. Resolved, on the motion of the Chairf man, seconded by Warden Bryce, that the Property Tax Commissioner be asked to supply the Board with valuations tinder the property tax assessment, for the purpose of using the same for Highway cmtug.
