♦ A cricket match, Wanganui v. Manchester, will be played at Wanganui on Saturday next. lhe following team will represent Manchester -. — G. Bartholomew, J. Bartholomew, F. Roe, Rowley, Jfix, Smith, Fitzherbert, Fowles, Bishop, Fearon and Stevens. Emergencies — Jackson and Halcombe.
The cricket match, Auckland v "Wellington, resulted in a victory for the former by nine wickets.
The crickot match between the Palm« erston Lillywhite Club and the Feilding Club, played in Feilding on Saturday, resulted in a victory for the latter club by five wickets.
In the cricket match at Newcastle between the local eighteen and the English eleven, the latter in the first innings scored 339 runs as against 67 scored by the Newcastle men. When time was called, the latter had put together 54 for 11 wickets, and the match was drawn in favor of the Englishmen.
An interest ing cricket match was played at Bulls, on Saturday last, on the new pitch in Dr Frood's paddock, married v single. Tiie married eleven were vie-
torious by 56 runs.
The second innings of the South Australian team v Australia- closed for a total of 254. The Australian team thus require to make 155 runs to win the match.
