CRICKET MATCHES.

A cricket match was eomm«nced this morning, between elevens chosen from tae Foxton and Manchester Cricket Clubs, on the ground of the latter. Mr J. Blake acted as umpire for the Foxton team, and Mr D. H. Macarthur for the Manchester eleven. The loss was won by the captain of the local team, Mr Nix, who decided to send the visitors to the wickets. Following are the scores : —

As we were going to press, we learnt that the Feilding team won the match. A match was to have been played today, between an eleven of Feilding, (boys) and a team from Palmerston. Owing to the non-arrival of the Palmerston boys, the match has been postponed until Saturday next.
