THE MAPLE LEAF SAW WORKS.
♦ . The saws imported from this establishment by Mr D. R. Lewers, are rapidly coming into favor. Messrs P. and J. Bartholomew, of the Kiwitea Sawmill, and the manager of a sawmill near Waverley, report very highly of them, and have ordered a second supply. The following is the Waverley report : — " We are happy to inform you that we can now, after giving it a good test, report very favorably of the cross-cut saw you left us. Our bushmen speak of it in the highest terms, especially for totara and white pine. We have no doubt when they get well-known, that you will find a great demand for them all over New Zealand. We beg to say that for sawmills, the lengths most useful will be 6ft., 6ft. 6in., and 7ft."
