THE SPORT S.

TO TFTK f:T>7TwR OF THE FEUDING STAR. Sir, --On many hands I have heard the remark that the Frilding Shorts have £ol to be rather lame, i.e., there is too nuu-h sameness about them. Most of the events consist of running and walking. I see there is to be a bicycle race this year, which will break the monotony .i little. Can nothing else be introduced? Why not try the old game called "the tug of war." This has always caused great amusement to everybody at Wanganui and other places where it has formed a part of the sports. Let the sides be made up of say married v. single, or volunteers v. civilians. I just throw out this hint, simply suggesting to the committee a little variation in what has, of late, been rather a stereotyped pro-gramme.-I am, &c\, Tug of Wab.
