WANGANUI FROZEN MEAT COMPANY.
The prospects of our local Refrigerating Company (says the Herald) are daily looking 1 brighter. The farmers have a double interest in supporting- a local movement of the kind. There is the prospect of a direct return for the capital invested, and the indirect return to the farming- industry is still greater. ihe company can hardly fail to become a commercial success. The establishment of the industry in the district will raise the price of stock and the value of land, at the same time increasing the profits of 1 farming 1 . In Napier the demand for shares more vhrtn exceeded the number placed on the market, so great there is the faith in the industry. Wanjrai.ui and the West Coast offer advantages and results second to no other in the colony, and thf> people sh-'uld lose no time in entering upon the en teri.ri.-e. 'ihe first step is to subscribe the necessary capital, when the directors will be ir a position to or'er the requisi c machinery by cable. '! he first rhiinnent of meat will be ready for shipment in May.
