FAILURE OF A SAW MILLING FIRM.
[IKE UNITED PRKSS ASSOCIATION.] JVklson, This Day. A meeting of the creditors of Mills, Bros, and Co., of Harelock, sawmillers, storekeepers, and runholders was held liere. A large number of creditors was represented. The assets are stated to be 118,862; liabilities, £14,838, of which £1 1,089 is secured. The firm has been 15 years in business, and their failure is caused by erecting 5 new sawmills, and the failure of a person on whom they depended for assistance. A deed of assignment was unanimously accepted. JNathan, of Wellington, and Scaife, of Nelson, are trustees. The later estimated that uuseeured creditors would get from 3s 6d to la in the £.
