FEILDING JOCKEY CLUB.
A N N V\L M K KT ING. The annual meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club was held in the ommercial Room of Ho. 's Denbigh Hotel, on Saturday evening last. Air Lethbrnlge was voted to the chair. The Secretary, Mr Jackson, read the balance-sheet as follows : — Statement of ißeceiuts and Expenditure. UECEIPI'S.
W. Jacicsov, Secretary. After several items in connection with the balance-sheet had been explained to the satisfaction of members present by the Secretary, Mr Hoc, scnr., proposed, and Mr Morphy seconded, that the bal-ance-sheet be accepted. Several new members were elected, after which Mr Jackson proposed, and MrFearon seconded, that a committee be formed, to consist of Messrs Downes, C. lioe, senr., Norman. Morphy, Fearon, F Koe, and AA r . Campbell, all officers of the club to be c.r officio members of the committee. Air Lei h bridge was elected President, on the motion of Mr Fearon, seconded by Mr Jackson. Proposed by Mr Jackson, and seconded by \ir Morphy, that Messrs Macarihur and Ames bury be re-elected Arice-Presi-dents. Mr Jackson was re-elcted Secretary and Treasurer, on the motion of Air Fearon, seconded by Air C. Hoc, senr. Proposed by Mr Jackson, seconded by Mr Fearon, that Mr Daws. m be elected Auditor, and that the Bank of Australasia be the bank of the Club. * n the motion of Air Jackson, seconded by MrO. Koe, sen*., it wis resolved, that the thanks of the Club he accorded to Messrs Let h bridge and Downes for the use of '.heir ground as a course last year, and with their permission the races be held ou the same ground next year. (Messrs Lethbridge and Downes gave their consent to the request of the Club.) A discussion ensued as to the advisableness of forming a new course on the present ground, or improving the old one. Ultimately .Mr Lethbridge proposed, and Mr Downes seconded, that a sub committee he appointed, consisting of Messrs Jackson, Morphy, and Fearon, to make (he necessary improvements to the course, and to commence the work as soon as possible. Proposed by Mr Jackson, and seconded by Mr Morpliy, that the Feilding Jockey Club hold its next meeting on Easter Monday, the 11th April. A vote of thanks to the Chairman and Secretary terminated the proceedings.
