COOPER'S FELLMONGERY, KIWITEA.
Yesterday we paid a visit to Mr Cooper's Fellinongery establishment on the banks of the Kiwitea Strearq. Although Mr Cooper has been but a few months at work, yet the progress he has made is very considerable. He has" erected two cottages, |a sweating room, drying platform, and tramway to run the wool down to the stream to be scouH&L He has scoured and sent away 2d bales of wool (full size), also 1,200 skins have been disposed of. He has also prepared and dyed some skins for carriages, or to be used as mats. As they are selected in each, case, for the beauty and. fineness of the staple in the wool their appearance is excellent. Great care is displayed in making the wool of snowy whiteness before the dye is applied. While the ordinary work of the establishment has been going on, that of bushfelling and clearing has also been attended to, and the land will soon be rcauy for grazing I purposes. Altogether the appearance o£ the fellmongery is very satisfactory.
