Laery and Campbell report that their market sale was well supported to-day by both buyers and produce, and was remarkable principally for the large quantities of fresh butter and esrgs, there being close on half a ton of the former, which realised 9d to Is ld ; eggs. 9d to lOd ; fowls, 4s 6d per pair ; cheese, 9d to 9_d; hams ard bacon, B_d. Potatoes were sold, delivered from the wharf, at 67s 6d, sacks extra Onions are very scarce, and worth about 10s cwt. No alteration to report in other produce. Christchubch, October 3. Produce. — The market has been easier, owing to growers accepting lower rates. The quotations are : Wheat, best samples. 4s 5d to 4s 6d per bushel, and other descriptions from 4s 2d to 4s 4d per bushel. Flour is quoted at £11 to £11 10s per ton ; and oatmeal at £16 10s per ton. Oats are worth— good milling, 3s 3d to 3s 4d : and feed at 3s ld to 3s 2d per bushel. For barley tlio prices are — for good malting 4s 7d to ss ; for feed, 3s 2d to 3s 4d. Cheese is quoted at 8d to B{d per lb; butter (fresh), Is ld to Is 2d ; salt, Is. Hams nnd bacon in cloth, 7£d to 8d ; potatoes, 42s to 43s 6d per ton; onions, £d to ld perlb; rye grass seed, 4s 6d to 4s 9d per bushel ; cocksfoot, s|d to 5i t>er lb.
