It is transpired that the English Government bns stipulated to the Khedive that none of the leaders in the rebellion shall b« executed without the con sent of England. Lord Dufferin has sent a note to the Porte, statin- that, in the opiuion of the English Government, the proposed military convention is now needless. A report is curreut here to-day that a number of soldiers forming part of the Damietta garrison who refused to surrender, have mutinied and shot the eommauder, Abdellad. The report which was current that Ab. de-lad, commander of Damietta, had been shot by his troops i* now known to hare been without foundation. The rebel garrison at Damietta will be forthwith summoned to surrender. The Khedive has postponed his departure for Cairo tiil Monday next. A commission consisting of native and European officers has been appointed to prosecute those who have been guilty of outrages against Europeans during the relellion. It has been arranged that Britith officer." shall participate in the Court martial to be held at Cairo to try the rebel officers. __
