HALCOMBE & SHEWILL'S REPORT.
I, I,- ..Eeildikg,, September, 13. ._ Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill held a sale of land and produce, at their rooms, on Saturday last. Following are the prices realized :—Section 225, Kiwitea, 320 acres, 80 acres in grass : purchased by Mr Rutherford, on behalf of Mr W. E\ Jacpb, for £4 per acre; The other properties were withdrawn ; but one has since, we understand, been disposed of privately—No 227, Kiwitea. Produce— Sh<Jf-pskins — Full-fleeced cross-breds : (good) 5d per lb. Full-fleeced cross- ' breds (second quality") 4d to 4sd per lb. :Hides—Heavy, 3d to 3-J-d ; Light, 2d to 2^d. Bacon and Hams—6d per if). "Wool —Scoured. 9_d was offered for four bales, but refused; ls being the vendor's reserve.
