FEILDI NG CEMETERY.
■•» A meeting of the Trustees of the Feilding Cemetery, was held last Thursday evening, in the school-house, at 7 o'clock. Present — Messrs J. i\ Thompson (■ hairman), E. Young, F. McLeod, W. Baker, and W. G. Haybittle, Hon. Treasurer. After the minutes of the previous meeting had been read and confirmed, it was resolved that the Treasurer be instructed lo ascertain the cost of making and painting a board containing scale of charges, &c, to be placed at the entrance to the cemetery. Some discussion here ensued relative to the neglected appearance of several of the graves. Resolved — : That 2s 6d be added to the fees already charged, to defray the cost of painting a board bearing the^ number of each grave. Resolved — That the committee appointed at last meeting, visit the cemetery and prepare a report, to be laid before the trustees at their next meeting re certain necessary improvements of the groundMessrs W. E. Chamberlain and W. Campbell were nominated to fill the vacancies caused by the resignations of Messrs Todd and Macarthur. The meeting then adjourned till Thursday, 7th of September.
