AUCKLAND.
August 25. Mr McLauchlin has preferred a claim for £200 for the loss of his sou, who was killed by the recent cab accident. The residence of Mr Neillie, at Papakura, was burnt down during the absence of the inmates. I was uninsured. The loss is £200. Mr Neillie had had a quarrel with one of his neighbors, and as footmarks and a bag have been observed in the vicinity, incendiarism is suspected. Detective Sullivan has gone up to investigate.
