ARREST OF LA N D LEAGERS.
CHINESE IMMIGRATION. MA HOMED AN OUTBREAK. LONDON. August 24. Ton Land Leaguers have been arrested i by the police charged with the murder of a family at Mullaglwdmma on the Bth insbint The information upon which the arr\stshave been made wax furnished by an eye-witness of the outrage. Ten men have been fully identified as the perpetrators of the recent murderous outrage in Conneinarra. Ihe Chinese Government have passed a resolution expressing regret at the action of Queensland in respect to Chinese immigration. The return match between the Australian cricketers and eleven of Gloucester, which was to have been commeneeed to-day, had to be postponed owing to rain. Cetewayo embarks on the Ist September on his return to the Cape. An alarming outbreak of small pox has occurred at Capetown. Several companies are forming in London to develop New Zealand meat trade. A conference of Chinese merchants in London have urged the promotion of emigration to Cyprus.
