VERY LATEST. ADVANCE OF THE BRITISH TROOPS. ARABI TO BE ATTACKED. [by telegbaph.] ALEXANDRIA, August 17At a council of war, held yesterday, it was decided to forthwith make an attack upon Arabi's position. The advance will be made from Aboukir and not, as at first intended, from JJamleh. Considerable forces of British troops will embark here on Saturday for Aboukir Bay, and on the following day the forts there will be attacked, before the landing of the troops is proceeded with. The Bedouins have been routed near Mandara, losing 5 men. A batallion of Arabi's troops have made overtures for surrender. ;
