... . . [HY TELEOn'APH.j New Plymouth, August 18. - A man was lost in the bush near Stratford, and a party has-been out looking for him during the week. The party have abandoned their search, giving up all idea of finding him. It is thought that he must have crawled into a hollow log in order to 'find protection from the rain, and was unable to get out again. He leaves a wife and family, who are ill provided for.
