zvugusi i l. .; An inquest has been held on Gavjn, wiio died from exposure on the road|td Tapanui. The jury added a rider censuring a settler named Barclay for it i^ neglect and inhuman conduct. Gavin arrived at Barclay's house on Monday night, being then not sober, and having a bottle and a half of whisky. He staged till Wednesday night, during w ich time thre. more bottles were procured, part' of one of which Gavin t.*>ok away with him.
