COURSING WON BY COPRIC.
FEW ZEALAND TIMBER. MELBOURNE. July 20. The war risk demanded by the English Insurance Companies is one and a half per cent., and not five per cent., as previonsly stated. The coursing for the Waterloo Cup, which was commenced yesterday, was continued to-day. The following tour remain in the final courses — Maid Osborne, Werribee, Shadow, I opric, and Girpfla second. July 21.
The final course of the Waterloo Cnp was won to-day by (opric. The Purse was won by Wanton Lass, and the Plate by Rhpdanthe. The meeting has passed off most successfully. Messrs C, S. Kpss and Co., of Melbourne, report the sale of a cargo of kauri pine, ex Bella Mary. Hewn lotfs realised an arerage of 16s per lfX£ feet, and sawn flkcliei an average of 16s 6d.

The men who were recently arrested in connection with the Avanski jewellery robbery have been coiuuiitteu for trial.
New Zealand' wheat has advanced 2d per bushel, and is. now quoted at 5s 3d. New Zealand oats unchanged at 3s 6d, and maize at 5* Id.
