CHEESE AND BUTTER FACTORY.

From our Foxton contemporary ' we learn that with the arrival of the irachinery for the Hon K Campbell's butter factory ut Campbelltown, Mr M'Lennan is vigorously pushing on other portions ot the scheme, so as to haye the whole in good working order by the time the erection of the machinery has been completed, With this view a herd of 13 imported Ayrshire co*s has been purchased, and the cattle are expected to arriye at the homestead this week. The herd have been obtained from Mr Craig's station, north of Wanganui. Of course the herd has been selected on account of the superior milking qualities of the animals named, and will form a good nucleus to start with for the factory. It is very satisfactory to note the business like manner in which this matter is being taken up by those interested. The ultimate o-oodi to the district, if the scheme is carried to a successful issue, carinot ' be over-estimated.
