ALL EGED CASE OF " LAMBING DOWN."
o (BY T;.).E(.H.\riT.) Dt'Xi din, July 14. An alleged case of •' bunbing down" on the part of a Dunedin hotelkeeper came before the Resident \l agisr.rale's Court this morning. The plaintiff asserts that about a fortnight ago he came to town with a cheque- for some £'10 odd. and that after staying at the Newmarket Hotel f:.r""two days and a half he whs informed that he had drank or " shouted aw 13'" all hut .£l2 of that amount. He refused to ' take this. Then the ho. c keeper offered ' him £'i."j. and eventually aye him £_*0. '> The defence will be gone iuio ou a future 1 day. '
