AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.
[by telegraph]. Sydney, July 9. The high prices now ruling in Sydney for daily necessaries, form a subject of serious concern to the heads of families. On the Upper Darling the staff of life has reached a figure strongly suggestive of famine. At Cobar the price of the 41b loaf has been raised to 2s in consequence of the b; dneis'of the roads and the difficulty of getting teams, while at Bourke, the price is exactly double that namely, 4s the 4lb loaf.
