CHRISTCHURCH.
July 11. There was a large crush at the Ex hibition yesterday evening in consequence of the art union, and some of the children had a narrow escape of being hurt. Altogether 18,293 souls entered the building during the day. The Supreme Court was occupied all day with two cases of violent assault and tyro of indecent assault. In one of the latter 'he prisoner was convicted and the rest acquitted.
