WRECK OF A TIMBER VESSEL.

(by telegraph.) Auckland, July 4. The schooner Torea, 78 tons, owned by J. Mitchelson & Co.. Auckland, went ashore at Kaipara Heads while outward bound with 70,000 feet timber for Lyttelton. She had been waiting for a chance to get out to sea for several days. Her hull is insured for £1000 in the Union, £600 of which is reinsured. No further particulars yet.
