London, June 29 . The cricket match between the Australian team and eleven .of Leicestershire was commenced at Leicester to-day. The !we.4ther was fine, but the wicket was heavy. The Austral ians^.wqht in first, and were all disposed of for 106 runs, Massie,ca.ught for 22, being the highest scorer. Ihe home team th#n M'ent in, hut oaly made .43 off the howling of Ppofforth and Palmer. The former took five wickets for 24, and Palmer five for 15 runs. < When the ntumps were drawn for the day the Australians in their second innings had lost one wicket for eight runs.
