MELBOURNE. * June 18. Great uncertainty prevails as to the final issue of the p esent political crisis. Kumours of a coalition are being increasingly circulated, but at the same time it is, in well-informed quarters deemed possible that a compromise will be effected between the Government and Mr Francis. Later. It has transpired that formal negotiations have been opened between the Government supporters and Mr Francis with a view to au understanding being arrived at in regard to the budget pro. posals. An interview is known to have taken place between Mr Francis and Sir Bryan O'Loghlen in reference to the position of affairs.
