THE NORTH ROAD.
TO THE EDLTOU. Sir, —Knowing that you arc 'always willing to assist the settlers in getting I heir little wants attended to by the local bodies, I take the liberty "of asking you to publish Ibis letter with regard to the North jtoad. 1 am well aware that the matter has been taken up in your columns, and also -that the Highway Board has been frequently ashed to make the road in something like passable order. I think. Mr Editor, you will be doing good service, and would ''receive the thanks of the settlers along this line of road if you would pay us a visit and see its .'condition for yourself. It is without doubt the worst piece of road in the township, and although all the land is taken up, it is almost impossible for the owners to settle on it for the simple reason that if they once get in there, they would never get out again. J kn.jw the Boaid is short of funds but I think they might fairly make an effort to do something for us in the shape of a. road. 2 hope you will make it convenient to pay us a "\ .sit. and also through your paper, bring the matter prominently before the Hoard. I am, etc.. Blocked Up. ■Feilding, Oct, 8,1880.
