While proceeding to Wellington yesterday In attend the conference of power boards’ engineers, Mr W. A. fat'ers, chief engineer to the Mana-itu-Oruua Power Board, accompanied by his wife and young son, met with a serious motor accident. The front tyre burst, causing Ihe car to capsize, pinning the occupants beneath. Mrs Waters and the child escaped with bruises and shock, but Mr Waters sustained a fracture at the base of the skull. He lies in the Palmerston North Hospital in a serious condition. He retained consciousness throughout.
